What happens during a session?

  1. Welcome and questionnaire: The practitioner asks you a few questions: allergies, scalp sensitivity, current treatments, expectations. A good salon never skips this step.
  2. Scalp analysis: Often offered in Korean head spa: a small magnifying camera shows the condition of your scalp (sebum, redness, dandruff). It is used to choose products, not to make a medical diagnosis.
  3. Dry or oil massage: Massage of the scalp, neck and shoulders, sometimes with warm oil applied to the scalp before washing.
  4. Washing and massage at the basin: Lying down with your neck supported, you receive one or two shampoos with a slow massage, sometimes with a silicone brush. This is the heart of the ritual.
  5. Water, waterfall and steam: Depending on the equipment: a continuous stream of water over the forehead or scalp, filtered water, micro-bubble jets, a steam hood while the mask is on.
  6. Mask and treatment: A mask or serum suited to your scalp and lengths, while the practitioner massages your face, hands or shoulders.
  7. Drying: Towel drying, then blow-drying. Styling is sometimes included, sometimes an extra: ask when you book.
